Water Pressure Experiment - P7T
11th May 2022
P7 have been learning about the Titanic, and recently investigated the varying types of water pressure. When the Titanic hit the iceberg, it caused a tear in the iron frame that allowed up to 7 tons of water in a second. As the tear was at the deepest part of the ship, it was susceptible to the heaviest water pressure, and because a huge amount of water flooded the ship is the reason it sank. We experimented with pressure in a water container with the water at the deepest part causing the greatest pressure. As you can see from the photos, the children really enjoyed it.
